Mothers’ Union
Mothers’ Union aims to be transformational. As a worldwide fellowship of over 4 million members in 83 countries, Mothers’ Union is well placed to deliver a global expression of Christian care for families right where it matters, in the heart of local communities.
The Mothers’ Union at St Paul’s, Maidstone gives Welcome Boxes to vulnerable youngsters moving into local accommodation. Since March 2010 we have also provided 388 boxes to Trinity Foyer and recently given 3 to the Teenage Parent Unit at Willowbrook Place. Both projects originated at St. Paul’s Mothers’ Union, Maidstone.
In addition, locally, we also help with Parenting, Toddler Groups, Women’s Refuge, and provide Christmas gifts for the residents of Priority House. The Mothers’ Union, Canterbury Diocese organises and provides holidays for families in need.
St. Paul’s is an active MU group led by Edna, supported by our members. We meet on the second Thursday afternoon of every month in the small hall – meetings often include speakers and of course tea and coffee! You will be assured of a warm welcome. We are not all mothers, or even all women. MU is open to all.
